I took a class on this and while this was inevitable its still not nice to see. Deep-sea mining essentially kills everything on the ocean floor in a radius of several miles. It produces so much noise and dust that everything trying to survive near the bottom is butchered.
Theres a lot of money to be made in this industry, but the environmental consequences are going to be cataclysmic for the areas of the ocean they start mining.
