This is why my wife doesn’t want a natural pregnancy. Despite extremely flexible, high paying jobs where the cost of an abortion and travel to a state where the procedure could be done would be trivial, she is terrified about the risk of fast moving sepsis killing her because a doctor is afraid of going to jail.
We’ll probably end up having a kid, but this is a big reason why we’re still childless and not in a huge hurry even at 31 years old
