or *Scoliopteryx libatrix*. a type of owlet, which is such an expansive family of moths that they actually don’t share many common attributes. it’s not entirely clear why these guys are named after heralds, but one explanation I found cited an old guide whose author described them as having long, stately robes, which is a nice story.
