Too-specific policy statements are kind of silly in a presidential campaign, honestly. A president is going to be limited (or empowered) by their strength in Congress and by the zeitgeist. You want someone whose general inclination is to do the things you would like to see done, and then you have to push to make that opportunity arise for them.

Perhaps they’ve learned their lesson that throwing a tantrum and voting for Jill Stein is how the “drill baby drill” candidate wins.
