Well last time anyone tried to do anything about cops brutalizing and killing civilians, it resulted in quiet quitting by departments across the country and despite the narrative of ″police defunding″, departments either got increases or cuts in line with other public services. Even blue Governors, Mayor’s, and city councilors are afraid of their own police, because they have the firepower, the immunity from civil litigation, the powerful unions, and the ability to crank up the terror level among the population on a whim.
And while there are a lot of guns floating around, a reminder that it’s the police departments who routinely announce they will not enforce gun laws, including red flag laws, and overwhelmingly voted for Trump. They are much more responsible for their own dangerous situations than the average citizen.
