I don’t think this will particularly succeed. The target demographic for the gold card, people who can shore up 5 million USD, are NRI’s already in the USA, and would have gotten citizenship sooner or later anyways.

Is the Gold Card actually any easier than the EB-5 to get though?
More expensive but with a tax break? As described it doesn’t really sound all that more attractive than the EB-5 because they’ll have to pay taxes eventually when they become US citizens.
I guess it’s more attractive if you want to live in the US but never plan on becoming a citizen.
