I’ve been in Consulting for the past 10 years since I graduated undergrad. Pretty much everything I learned was on the job via trial and error or watching someone more senior than me.
I’m astonished by how much I can get out of the free Copilot / ChatGPT tools. A lot of what I did back then can be done by an AI tool. So much so that now I’m finding that I don’t really need to build as much analyst time into my projections because I can have Copilot do a lot of the mindless grunt work. Why pay $100k fully burdened cost per analyst when you can get a tool to do about 70% of what they can do for $100?
