This needs to be the norm in the entire anglosphere. I’m glad to see them take this step.
If left up to purely local control, no town will choose to build enough housing. Even if states do things like setting quotas for new units, local bodies will virtually always choose to put it in inconvenient locations and saddle it with requirements that reduce the quality of life.
