    2 points:

    * solar power is the cheapest electricity source in history ,and will likely continue to remain so, as its learning curve is faster than wind power( while nuclear has no learning curve)
    * due to geographic differences, some regions of the world will permanently be more endowed with solar potential( requiring less seasonal storage, less peak capacity, or less of both)

    will the Global North be doomed to deindustrialize without tariffs, given the dirt cheap energy that is available around the equator?

    long term, its seems that if you want to establish an energy intensive industry or build data centers, your only logical choice would only be either Middle East, India, Africa or Latam
