Here are some pages from Penguin's Kabbalah. This should be the mainstream of the mainstream, not some fringe translation. It reads like a 4chan thread on entity attachments, called "shells" in Kabbalah.
Hinduism and Buddhism. Depictions of Shiva and The Buddha both indicate they have "beaten the snake", or "shed their skin". They have rid themselves of reptilian entity attachments through Kundalini, is one interpretation.
Christianity obviously discusses the Serpent. Maybe the "seals" of the seven seals are, again, reptilian entity attachments, or the same as "shells".
I'm not a religious historian, so am taking a bit of a gamble on this one, but my superficial understanding of Islamic Sufism, a la Gurdgieff, is that the ultimate Sufi objective is to "let the stars move through you". One could infer that the stars are blocked because of these entity attachments, snake skin, seals, shells, or whatever term is preferred.
There is also plenty of discussion of the Serpent in indigenous and folk stories.
Across the globe, across religions, across races and ethnicities, people have been discussing the Serpent for millennia. Given this, it seems humans should be able to discuss the Serpent without being accused of racism, xenophobia, bigotry, etc., and getting censored.
In fact, that might be something the Serpent would do, trick us into being unable to discuss him.

Submission Statement: There appears to be a trend of large institutions censoring the discussion of Serpent theories. This goes against thousands of years of history, across ethno-religious divides, making justifications like “racism” arguably invalid, for the censorship.

in the ancient world the serpent was seen as a symbol of wisdom and transformation, not evil.. so maybe they dont want you mentioning the serpent because it isn’t the bad guy?.
Also, it was the Elite who forced monotheism onto us and when you look into them, you always have a christ figue, a god of light and a promise of a return.
In my opinion, it is obvious reverse psychology.
The Elite spent thousands if years forcing monotheistic (especially abrahamic) religions onto us, going as far as to create heresy laws that punish you with death for going against the bible that lasted up until 1677, while they forced taxes out of our hands.
