Eerie Place Massena (Nice, France)

We were on vacation in Nice, France and came about Place Massena. Not sure why, but I instantly got a very uneasy feeling just being there. The Place Massena is covered in checkered floor, there‘s seven pillars, each of them having a human statue at the top. The statues are either kneeling or sitting down with their knees tucked, almost like a fetal position type of pose. At day time they are yellow, at night they light up and change colours.

Now… obviously I am aware that this might just be an innocent artsy thing, nothing suspicious going on. But I don‘t know why I got a very weird, eerie and uneasy feeling whenever we were around it. The „crazy conspiracist“ in me almost feels like it must be some weird ritual site? At least that‘s the vibe I got…
