      Happened many times in the past when certain groups didn’t get their way. To say there isn’t a clear favoritism and bias on Reddit would be ignorant AF.

      Big during COVID, big during 2016 elections. Subs got banned, people got banned. A lot for what turned out to be true, especially during COVID.

      I comment here once in a while, and it was one of the first subs I’ve joined. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten banned elsewhere just because I’m a member here lol.

      Imagine being banned from a sub for critical thinking. I was banned from posting on futurology because of being part of this sub. I made comments and people agreed with me and they also got banned.

      Yea, same happened to me and I don’t agree with most of the people here haha.
      But to be fair this place is almost as bad as the conserv sub reddit but with less of a echochamber also I never knew the people buying the big foot magazines where also repubs

      Yeah, there are a lot of subs with mods and admins that are absolutely petrified of having their meticulously curated worldview challeneged. The mere thought of possibly having to engage in dialog with someone who may require them to defend their opinions with facts and logic leaves them shitting cinderblocks. As a result, they spend their time and resources scouring the entire platform, both personally and with bots, searching for users they believe might pose a risk of potentially engaging with them someday and forcing them into their nightmare scenario of an open discussion, where ad hominem attacks and mass group shoutdowns arent enough to end the conversation. They then preemptively mute and ban anyone they identify as a potential threat in a frantic, desperate attempt to avoid it from possibly ever happening.

      Its a badge of honor. Wear it proudly
