Whose side is Elon Musk on?

A legitimate question that many are asking themselves. Because it seems as if he is playing the role of the good cop in a theater play. Now that we've hardly been able to breathe for years, we can breathe a sigh of relief with a new flare-up of freedom of expression.

One should not be naive and believe that his power and influence are merely a result of hard work. It can be assumed that he is part of a powerful network that supports him in his ambitions and goals. This is the only way to explain why he can manage so many companies simultaneously and so successfully. Walt Disney, for example, was not alone, he was the face of the company, but his brother did a lot of work in the shadows.

Many mainstream media outlets criticize and demonize Elon Musk. This does not necessarily mean that he is automatically a good person. The old adage still applies: judge people by the fruits they bear. Elon certainly doesn't only bear good fruit, but his constant commitment to freedom of expression is more than just respectable, it's honorable.

For example, he also said before the World Government Summit that a world government might not be the best idea and that nation states still have an important role to play. But he also said negative things, such as the call for a CO2 tax – the instrument of technocrats with enormous potential for authoritarian abuse of power.

It also seems as if he knows a lot – knowledge that is not obvious to everyone. It seems as if his wife at the time, Claire Elise Boucher, had predicted the pandemic. This knowledge may be very important for him to make valuable decisions about the future of humanity and his own success.

But whose side is Elon Musk on? Is he controlled opposition? To whom is he loyal? The answer seems simple and banal, but it is profound and significant: Elon Musk is on his own side. Perhaps he too is a free spirit who has realized that the technocratic path does not lead to the utopia of a united planetary federation, but to the dystopia of a Borg collective. Perhaps he too is worried about not being able to live his authentic self. Perhaps he too wants to be able to raise objections and exercise his right to free speech. Perhaps he too wants to be able to laugh without being told what to laugh about. Perhaps Elon Musk is also just a person who enjoys life and has realized that you harm yourself when you harm other people.

For my part, I am and will remain a burned child. I will not give my full trust, but I am cautiously optimistic about our future. We will see where this path takes us.
