““This attempt at politicising the nomination of supreme court judges is unprecedented” in Germany, said Andrea Römmele, a political scientist at the Hertie School.” What is that even supposed to mean? Nominees have been rejected before and even in this round of nominees the Greens just rejected a conservative nominee themselves. It just seems to be an internal issue in the CDU where the party leaders seem to not have their own people under control to follow their decisions.
