Why is Napoleon always compared to genocidal ass monsters? Yeah, he conquered Europe. But he also took on some liberal ideas and brought upon having constitutions in many European states (Italy, Naples, Spain, the Netherlands, German states, etc), directly leading to the Age of Revolutions (1848)
Most of these constitutions were revoked for a return to an absolute monarchy (Spain, Naples, German states)
Plus the dude never came close to committing genocide and was pretty good with reforming the law code of France. Compared to Hitler, he’s an angel
