Tbh wonder how much of this is posturing to get Hamas to agree to step down from power, especially given the discontent in Israeli society he’d be fomenting if he actually went through with this. Netanyahu might be a bastard but he can play coalitions off each other masterfully
If the average Palestinian in Gaza knows the options are either remove Hamas or Israel runs their government, have to imagine that changes the calculus for both domestic uprisings and/or an Arab peacekeeping operations to get accelerated
