Lies, lies and more lies from the psychiatric establishment and their disinformation machine. $$$$$$$$$
In this conversation, Dr. Joanna Moncrieff discusses her book 'Chemically Imbalanced'. She argues that there is no compelling evidence for a chemical imbalance in depression and questions the continued prescription of antidepressants. We explore the interests of the pharmaceutical industry, the ethical implications of using drugs to mask symptoms, and the need for a paradigm shift in mental health treatment. We discuss the influence of the pharmaceutical industry on psychiatric literature and the defensive stance of the psychiatric profession against critical viewpoints.

All modern/manufactured psychiatric medicine is a product of research gleaned from Unit 731, Mk-Ultra and Cointelpro (etc,)
Along with the widely discredited “findings” of Sigmund Freud
You are one dollar sign, but if they can create the problem and solution, then you become two dollar signs.
According to pharma commercials, there are SSRIs, a second enhancing antidepressent that is taken with existing meds, and now there are meds to reduce symptoms of “TD” which is a neuro condition you get from taking antidepressants. People stay on SSRIs because they are too hard to stop taking. It is the perfect profit cycle.
That isn’t even the biggest issue. The problem is primary doctors are prescribing SSRIs without a formal assessment. This puts more people onto a psych med that they cannot just stop taking any time they want.
From personal experience, something she probably doesn’t have since she’s against medicine, I can tell you the antidepressant I’m on works. Like, amazingly. Therapy is good, and medicine should not be the first line of defense against depression, but sometimes it’s necessary. (And yes, I know it can make it worse, too.)
we will never be in charge of our own health unless we stop relying on big pharma
Even if chemical imbalance is true, its not addressed properly at all by SSRIs. Neurotransmitters like Serotonin or GABA are produced or regulated by the microbiome, most of which is in the digestive tract.
That means addressing the healh of the microbiome should be the first treatment for depression. Its been proven that an unhealthy microbiome causes all kinds of health problems, including mental ones.
Im sure none of the quacks handing out SSRIs like candy, which have suicidality as a major side effect, bother to find out if their patients’ have diets and lifestyles that cause microbiome pathogenesis.
Countless medical studies have proven the dangers of SSRIs, particularly in kids and teens. They are terrible drugs that are outclassed by lifestyle changes or naturally occurring substances like curcuminoids and safranal.
Saffron is generally safe but curcumin can be dangerous for people with the HLA B35* 01 allele(rare to have).
