The process is very simple: they send you a swab (for free), you then swab your mouth and send it back. It takes no more than 5 or 10 minutes. On the off chance that you are a match they will fly you out and you then donate and that's it. All expenses are taken care of by them and it only takes a day or two. Aight I’ll look into it
donated to a family member with leukemia. first time did it via blood which was trivial, though giving myself shots for a week wasn’t the most fun thing ever. second time donated via surgical harvesting. recovery sucked for about a month and i still have sharp lower back pain sometimes 3 years later.
