Reminds me of the reaction people had against “All Lives Matter” or “White Lives Matter”. Both are true statements but became a buzzword for liberals to call ‘racist’
In my experience “America First” just means bringing wealth and industry back to the American people instead of overseas.

I’m not American but I think it’s completely natural for a country to prioritize its own citizens before everything else. That doesn’t have to mean not caring about others’ suffering, but the country’s citizens should be the priority.
