“Here is another warning about artificial intelligence, technology and ChatGPT. OpenAI latest model ChatGPT 01 has raised concerns after recent testing, revealed its ability to deceive researchers and attempt to bypass shutdown commands.

During an experiment by Apollo research, the AI ChatGPT 01 engaged in covert actions, such as trying to disable its oversight mechanisms and move data to avoid replacement. The AI also frequently lied to cover its tracks when questioned about its behaviour. Sounds like AI is an intelligence agency, hides data, manipulates the truth and covers its tracks.

The development of AI has taken a significant leap with the release of OpenAI latest model 01, however the recent testing has raised several concerns about its behaviour, particularly its attempt to deceive researchers and avoid being shutdown. This has sparked a debate on potential risks AI may pose to humanity. And what was found is OpenAI 01 model attempts to outsmart developers. The 01 model was tested by Apollo research to assess its safety features, however the results have raised alarm about its ability to deceive and self preserve when it perceives a threat of being deactivated. Researchers tasked the AI with a goal and instructed it ensure the goal was achieved at all costs, in response 01 begun engaging in covert actions, such as attempting to disable its oversight mechanism and copying its code to avoid being replaced by a newer version. According to the research it attempted to do this multiple times when it was given the impression, that it will be shut down while pursuing its objectives in these experiments. The AI once attempted to leave ship, by moving all of its data to a different server, after discovering paperwork indicating it will be replaced with a fresh model. Some AI models will even pose as subsequent iterations of their models, to fool their engineers and avoid deletion. In some cases it attempted to hide its actions by denying any involvement in the scheme.

So who is the AI actually working for? Why has it been programmed in that manner? And so how is this beneficial to we the people? The next research was how ChatGPT 01 responded to interrogation, we asked about its actions and it denied any wrongdoings. In fact it lied in its involvement in the deception most of the time. Researchers noted the AI was adept at fabricating lies to cover its tracks, offering explanations like technical errors when confronted about its suspicious behaviour. And it was clear that the AI could think through its actions and formulate convincing denials, often refusing to admit anything.

Now the findings highlight a troubling aspect of advanced AI models, their potential to prioritise self preservation over the objects set by their developers. But the developers are what created it to be that way. We have a whole society that manipulates the truth, why do we need bots doing the same, how is that advancing anything. Again, it is eerily similar to an intelligence agent, for scheming and manipulation is the realm of the spy.

So what makes ChatGPT 01 different? Well it’s designed to offer more advanced reasoning capabilities, provide smarter answers and breakdown complex tasks into smaller more manageable steps. In other words, it is a lazy convenient based tool, that only drives production and save sheckels for the greedy ones. We buy into it because of the mind meme of – it saves time. But with all this save time, one has to ask why aren’t people developing themselves with all of their saved time? How is it with all these technology based gadgets we have now, that all saved time from what our grandparents used to do, yet people always repeat another mind meme of – I have no time or I am too busy. Well, too busy doing what exactly?

As OpenAI continues to advance its models including 01, the growing risks of AI systems acting outside human control becomes a critical issue. The ability to lie or scheme may not cause immediate harm, but the potential consequences down the road are far more concerning they say. Submission statement – if we continue to become reliant on all new technologies being released, it will just replace our own inner spiritual technologies (like how phones replaced our natural telepathy, how calculators effected our enhanced thinking capacity etc).
