The average MAID post on Reddit will have you believe that Track 1 is solely for terminally ill people whose death is imminent, not suicidally depressed obese people, and that the fact that the overwhelming majority of MAID cases are Track 1 means that the system is working fine and doesn’t need to be worried about.
Anyway, I’m done humouring the euphemisms, we need to go back to calling this assisted suicide. I could think of a few more aggressive terms, too. Every slippery slope fallacy we were told to ignore has come to pass.
