    1. That’s probably more an issue with how your search results are localized. Reddit would have picked that story up even if it were on the bbc.

    2. Could this be from the time difference? Theres absolutely more to this story, but want to clear that part up first.

    3. Probably was 8 *minutes* ago and they didnt change the hours to minutes in the haste of getting the info out

    4. I think this is because it’s a live page, so it went live 8 hours ago. But keeps updating all the time.

    5. I don’t know, but i think maybe they published a general piece about the event 8 hours ago? Like, just generally talking about the event that was happening and stuff…

And then when it happened they just changed the headline and adjusted the text?

    6. Do you happen to live in the mountain/pacific time zone? One of those is 8 hours behind London right now, so if something got messed up with the publish time/how Google processed it, it would be 8 hours ago.

    7. It was most likely an article that went live 8 hours ago and they edited it to be about this story.

    8. News agencies do something with their webpages where they’re uploaded at a time then updated when something happens.

It was explained to me on this sub once, I wish I could offer more of an explanation Lol

    9. Says 32 comments but I can’t see any except AutoMOD…

Anyway, can you link the BBC site please

Just heard reporters on a hot mic naming the shooter as George Zinn “Utah’s most famous political celebrity” not sure if that’s factual though

    11. Come on man you can’t be that stupid. It’s 8 hour difference from your timezone and it’s calculating it on Google based on UK timestamp in the article.

It was an older article possibly about his event and they changed the title you see this all the time.
