I’m not really sure how it works, but wouldn’t they need to know who it is first in order to track it? There were most likely hundreds of cellphones in the area at the time. If someone knows more I’d like to understand how they’d track a random phone without knowing the owner.

I mentioned this in another thread – there is no way a shooter would keep a cell on them even if they turned it off. Modern cell phones have cell tower tracking 100% of the time – any slightly trained “assassin” would know better

There were probably 20k cell phones in that immediate area at the time. Singling out one phone in all that in less than 24hrs would be next to impossible unless they knew exactly which phone to look for..

You sure that’s not a barrel and optic jammed down there? Look at the straight line from above his belt line to below his knee on the outer side of his right leg.
The optic could be where the “phone” imprint is

News shows screenshots of random guy claiming that he’s the shooter.

Looks more like a stock. He was really skinny. He probably had the scope in his bag. Someone said they found a screwdriver on the roof, probably installed it on the roof because it wouldnt fit in his pants with the scope on.

The CIA isn’t using Pegasus to find this guy, the FBI likely doesn’t have access to the software that Snowden mentioned….

You gotta remember Snowden worked for the NSA not the FBI, The NSA & CIA are completely different than the FBI/ATF…

Snowden was 10+ years ago. What they got now is much more powerful, especially with the significant increase in internet connected devices. I bet every device logs nearby devices. That camera he passed by logged his device.
