  1. * Satellite images showed over a dozen long-range “kamikaze” (suicide) drones with launch equipment near Nyala airport in Darfur, controlled by Sudan’s RSF, in May 2025.
    * These delta-wing drones are believed to have a range of ~2,000 km, far exceeding the RSF’s previously known drone capabilities, raising concerns their use could widen the conflict’s geography.
    * The presence of these drones overlaps with drone attacks on Port Sudan and comes amid intensified air capability for the RSF, which may shift the balance in its ongoing conflict with Sudan’s army.
