The UK and Australia basically have to wait out the Boomers, Continental European countries like Germany and Sweden will be even worse after the Boomers “disappear”.

The Times found that 76% of British Gen Z said immigration is good for the country while The Financial Times found over 50% of youth in France and Sweden say immigration is bad for the country. Unsurprisingly, National Rally and Swedish Democrats are far more popular among French and Swedish youth, respectively, than Reform UK among British youth.
In 2024, over 70% of Gen Z in Ireland and the UK voted for Left-Liberal parties, vast majority of Gen Z in Australia in 2025 voted for Labor or Greens.
There’s going to be differences in how each country deals with immigration. Some will go further and go after all immigration, others will be more focused on asylum seekers and “illegal immigrants”.
