Can someone explain to me why so few countries recognize Taiwan?Taiwan has its own functional government that collects taxes, holds elections, and controls its seaports/airspace completely detached from the CCP.

Kind of always been a general issue no? Isn’t this a reason why we the US haven’t been so hot on wanting to sell some new defensive weapons
