  1. I need to buy a drill, but it honestly just feels like a waste of money. Like, I’m sure that if I buy a drill that costs more than $50, it’s going to outlive me with how little I’ll use it

For reference, I have thus far gotten by with a dinky little Ikea drill. I lost the charger for it in a move like eight years ago, and am only looking at getting a new drill because the battery finally died. That’s how little I need a drill in my day-to-day life.

But what am I going to do, put up these shelves using a screwdriver? I just don’t have the forearms for that

  2. >Former President Barack Obama on Friday criticized Israel’s ongoing military action in Gaza, saying that “there’s not a military rationale for continuing to pummel what is already rubble” and arguing for Palestinian statehood.

    >“I think that it is important for us to acknowledge those of us who are not direct parties to the violence to say, right now, children can’t starve. Right now, there’s not a military rationale for continuing to pummel what is already rubble,” Obama said at an event. “It is unacceptable to ignore the human crisis that is happening inside of Gaza, and it is necessary for us to insist that both sides have to find a path in which a Palestinian state and autonomy exist side by side with a secure Israel.”

Appointing Blair as the head of the government of Gaza would legit send us back to the days of appointing a well-bred Englishman as the governor of a distant land of which he does not speak the language

    It’s like 1880s stuff hahahaha
