Probably good for Cuomo, but Adams will still be on the ballot, and Silwa is almost certainly too proud to be bought or cowed into dropping out. The moderate/conservative vote maybe had a real chance of beating Mamdani, but they really needed to unite around a single candidate much earlier instead of wasting months on a confusing and drama-filled four-man race. A lot of the recent polling seems to suggest that Mamdani is climbing to near-majority support, and I don’t think this will change that.
