Peter Thiel recently came out talking about the anti-christ, and he said "the people who want to stop the development of AI are the anti-christ."
His vision of the future is one in which AI is developed at the expense of everyone and everything else. He believes this is the next step of evolution (single cell➡️ multi cell ➡️ dumb life➡️intelligent life➡️AI), and once it gets going humans will no longer have a place in the world, which is fine because our cosmic purpose will have been achieved.
AI requires an enormous amount of power and ever-expandong data centers. As AI pulls more and more energy from the environment and expands outwards it will look like this: The planet will become a metal ball of computation.
Then it will come for the sun, and beyond.

Its length and width and height are equal.”* This isn’t vague or symbolic math… it’s an exact specification: a massive, perfectly proportioned city, with walls, gates, and foundations described in meticulous detail.
