Why though? Why do we have to pretend that Russia is somehow an equal partner to the west and has any cards left that they haven’t thrown into Ukraine?
If there ever was a time to pressure Syria to change its allegiances I’d think it would be now

I’m surprised that Russia would have any kind of welcome in Syria since the bombed the people who are now in charge (as well as countless civilians).
