I wonder why? I have some probably ignorant theories;
-Men were more tied to organized labour which was hugely behind the Democrats
-Women had more time to listen to the radio being stuck at home all day, which means more conservative commentary (was that the case back in the day? I imagine there had to be more liberal radio shows back when radio was big but idk)
-Women used to be the more religious of the sexes
-Conservatives come off as better authority figures and in a time when women were taught to listen to authoritative men that probably pushed women towards the Republicans
-The Republicans pushed for women’s suffrage and Democrats didn’t (over simplification but it’s true)
