Just full mask off racism seems to be the norm in British politics now I guess. Say this 10 years ago and you’d be kicked out of the Conservative party.
And if it isn’t about the colour of skin, like he claims, why the fuck is his metric for integration whether or not he sees white faces? It only makes sense if he is doubting that black people can ever be British solely based on the colour of their skin

Same guy who drafted legislation to overhaul Britain’s planning system into a Japanese style by-right construction one, a morally grey character if I’ve ever seen one

I’ve always wondered does he consider that Asian porcelain skin makeup look count as a white face? Or is like a Caucasian who used too many roids and has a red tomato face still white?

Handsworth also has far higher levels of social mobility than whiter parts of Birmingham
Bet he doesn’t want to talk about that

I will never understand this whole “I need to see people who look like me” thing that has become so popular. It’s one of the most base, tribal and primal things imaginable, and it’s almost treated as some sort of righteous, enlightened position

I really struggle to believe politicians are more racist now than in the 1970s, consider Enoch Powell, Conservatives kicked him out, newspapers called him racist, Thatcher did one slightly racist interview and was cajoled so much she never said anything like that again
Polls showed the vast majority of the country agreed with Enoch Powell after his speech
These days, half the country thinks Reform is racist and about 10% believe you have to be white to be British, and we are so much better integrated and ethnic minorities are doing so much better, there is more mixing etc.
We are objectively less racist now than in the 1970s, yet politics is somehow more racist now than in the 1970s
