Good primer on why Dems should be investing in Alaska.

    I’ll add on a few points:

    – Alaska is one of the least religious states in the country. The Christian nationalism angle has limited traction.

    – It’s not as rural as people think. Most Alaskans live in Anchorage, Fairbanks, or the Mat-Su valley

    – AK also has close cultural and economic to Seattle, one of the most left-wing cities in America. Most Alaskans have spent significant amounts of time (often years) there.

    Alaskans generally want little to no government involvement in there personal lives. They want a hippies society with an arsenal. Lots of environmental protections with an economy based on resource extraction. There is potential, but dems will have to craft a message specific to Alaska as some policy goals will be DOA in AK.
