Robert Morris, founder of Gateway Church in Texas and once a spiritual adviser to Donald Trump, has pleaded guilty to five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child.
The abuse began in 1982, when the victim was 12 years old. Under his plea deal, Morris received a 10-year suspended sentence, will serve six months in county jail, and must register as a sex offender.
Morris was a member of Trump’s evangelical advisory board and frequently appeared at White House events during the “Faith and Freedom” outreach. His case reignites scrutiny over the kind of religious and political figures who gained influence during that era.
Sadly, Morris isn’t an isolated example figures like Jeffrey Epstein, George Nader, and Tim Nolan were also tied to Trump’s broader orbit and later convicted of sexual crimes involving minors. It’s says a lot about Trump.

Anyone who mistreats minors, regardless of allegiance, should be put away forever.
