More like we have too much democracy in the bad ways and not enough in the good ways. Dump the senate and presidency, dump first past the post, copy Germany’s parliamentary system.
The US Congress is a horribly antiquated and terribly designed Institution that has no business being the Legislative of any modern country.
You can see this Reflected in both Wyoming having the same number of Senators as California and the House being susceptible to this kind of ratfucking.
This fact is notwithstanding the wider social trends pretty much the whole world has been experiencing since ~2010, but surely plays a role in how susceptible to Republican abuse the US Government has become.

This is the worst case scenario – it would be a complete wipe out of Democrats in the South. They could go bolder and try to crack Atlanta as well and make Georgia completely red, but that is risky and it’ll end up being a democrat-mander in a few years. So packing Atlanta. No other southern city has an atlanta, so they just get to do whatever they want in the other states.
