I'm apart of older Gen Z. Around 2014 is when these websites started becoming really popular on the internet where you would see gruesome videos from all around the world. These videos would range from gang shootings, traffic accidents, beheadings and anything you can think of.
Me and my friends would watch these videos just to get a reactions from each other. Morbid curiosity is very high within teenagers. There always seems to be certain moments in time where these gore websites gain huge popularity – The Luka Magnotta murder and cannibalism in 2012, ISIS beheadings in 2014 and the Christchurch Mosque shooting in 2019.
Yesterday I wanted to check these websites out again just to see if the same old videos were being posted but nope, you can find hundreds upon hundreds of drone footage of the Ukraine VS Russia war. It's actually insane. A drone will fly over a wounded soldier and then just drop a bomb on them to end their misery. From both sides, Russian and Ukrainian deaths.
This is quite seperate from the topic at hand but Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 was released in 2012 predicted all of this drone warfare. Go watch this trailer and it is eerily similar to the Ukraine and Russia war. The game is also based in what year? 2025. Go figure. https://youtu.be/pyjicUdj59w?si=pQpSDz7vZKQXkZhS&t=36
I have always wondered how all these videos were found. It has to be government operations. Desensitising the youth to violence and bringing a normalisation to it. You can't find much of the Palestine vs Israel war besides October 7th. I watched about 50 videos yesterday alone of blatant murders of Ukrainian and Russian soldiers being blown up.

Yeah true, we are definitely being desensitised.
This is a bit of a stretch. Just like you had morbid curiousity when you were young, there are loads of people out there who collect these kinds of videos to publish because they also have a gruesome fascination with the morbid. I really don’t think this is a govt “op” to do anything when these sites aren’t mainstream and far too niche to be a good “tool” for anything. They already have access to movies, TV, video games, etc. for mass desensitization on any given topic, so..
People find them through hacks, or people who have access to them submit them. Liveleak was always a thing for its collection of shocking footage from all around the world. Rotten was another big one…
Frankly though if you’re sitting around watching 50 videos of this kind of thing and you’re afraid of it being an op, maybe thats a sign you need to stop.
