A carbon score would be part of a social credit score, and would decide things like how much interest you have to pay or how many carbon credits you need to buy.

Notice you get 18% of your daily calorie needs but only burn 8.1% of your dietary carbon allowance.

This is a terrible example to scaremonger with because you could literally eat 2x your daily calorie needs and still be under your dietary carbon limit.

Like, *even if this was the plan you can still eat shitty packaged sandwiches to your hearts content*

    2. Suggesting there’s such a thing as a “daily dietary carbon allowance” is wild and infuriating.. they made the packaging ffs. Companies started this crap in the 80s with the whole “do your part” as a consumer to convince us we’re the problem and the solution.

    3. How much of that comes from packaging and delivery of something you used to be able to get fresh made?

SS: More and more facets of life are being calculated in terms of a carbon footprint. Carbon taxes have been talked about for a long time, enough data is being collected to calculate how many carbon credits each person needs to purchase.
