At this point, I feel like the US is just testing their military equipment/capabilities before committing to regime change. Also could be trying to provoke Venezuela into doing something very stupid so Trump (Rubio) has a casus belli.
I can’t imagine why else the US would waste so much money and resources (and political capital, if that’s still a thing) on killing a bunch of innocents and/or low-level drug movers.

Senate voted to block these extrajudicial/summary executions two weeks ago, 48-51, Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski, voting in favor and John Fetterman voting against.
