Michelle Cottle argues Democrats hurt their credibility by promoting “nepo candidates.” Using the campaign of Dorothy McAuliffe, backed by Terry McAuliffe and endorsed by Nancy Pelosi, she reckons party leaders risk reinforcing an elitist image during strong anti-establishment sentiment.
