Submission statement: Relevant because of our own trans rights movement and the slowness of politicians to respond to these kinds of issues, leaving them up to the courts. It’s also a positive sign for LGBT rights in Ecuador and Latin America. Hopefully, this kind of thing will happen in many more countries.
