Like it was kinda funny when Tay-tay single handedly drove up inflation estimates but there are a string of issues on the official statistics the government uses to make fiscal decisions. With Reeves so beholden to OBR estimates the constant revisions mean that it is difficult for the government to know their fiscal headroom and allocate spending- a big problem in a country with growth as parlous as Britain’s.
