The thing is , yes, it looks like an alien or whatever , but there is a more occulted symbolism within.
Basically , as some of you know, crowley was involved in sex magic in many different ways, even to be writing about rituals of creating a homunculus during the moon phases. And he was very keen on the idea that the phallus is the creative principle and that the semen is what can give life /energy to a magical ritual.
Now look again at his drawing. What it is symbolic of is a phallus and this principle of creative substance of the semen.

edit, also to add that if you look closely at the faint pattern on the forehead it shows the motion upward symbolic of orgasm

The idiom “A magician never shows his hand” should also apply to real occultists. And perhaps to all politicians and celebrities who are covert occultists.
