    **Summary:**

While China’s push to modernize sparked a surge in burning coal, India is turning to increasingly cheap solar to meet its booming energy needs. Though it faces big hurdles, including a rickety grid, India’s solar buildout could soon be a model for other emerging economies.

**1. Why is this relevant for** r/neoliberal **?**
I love green energy. Also, I know this is a month old, but this was a good read. This could a a blueprint for future players in industrialization. The reduction of fossil fuels is by all measures. and good thing.

**2. What do you think people should discuss about it?**
A major economy industrializing with solar is good, as it will encourage smaller players to do the same.

**2a. What do you think of the issue at hand?**
Its important to discuss climate change, and if this encourages others to do the same, that can only be a good thing. Gonna do wonders to reduce pollution as well. Also, this is gonna go a long way to alleviate people’s concerns of energy sovereignty. Also, I love solar energy.
