Poole oversaw the platform until 2015.

      >The timing of the introduction is interesting. The same month that Nikolic introduced Epstein to Poole, 4chan launched a politically oriented forum called /pol/, which became popular with right-wing extremists. The site eventually became a cesspool of far-right extremism, violent rhetoric and propaganda, and incubated the pro-Trump conspiracy theory known as QAnon.

      Cassie Pritchard on ‘X’ dropped this trvthnvke about the left recently. In this context she is arguing with someone else about the political failures of the trans movement but tbh you could aim this eloquent criticism at the culture warriors on the left broadly. It does explain why we have been losing in the ‘culture wars’ since 2016

      Valdez isn’t in the same camp of crazy as Avila Chevalier, but that’s somewhat beside the point. Both of them were born and raised in the US; their politics were bred in domestic leftist social milieus, and “sending them back” is a non-sequitur. A better option that conservatives aren’t interested in is a stronger liberalism that can stand on its own against the populist tides.

      Also, seeing ostensibly non-MAGA conservatives try to cosplay as MAGA bigots is so lame.

      The effects of this mamdanistan crap is going to be a bunch of idiotic DSA members sinking the chances of 2028 because someone wasn’t “pure enough” on Iran having zero sanctions or Russia or some other inane tiny foreign affairs problem.
