Omg this is ridiculous!

We are trying to keep society running on cash and they making it difficult.

We pulled up to the ATM machine and they want us to "verify" our identity.

They give us the run around. Someone in the Philippines tries to calm our nerves. Transferred to someone…. on hold…..

Just a Hellscape. It has been over 30 minutes on hold to the fraud department to get them to lift this.

They keep texting us codes but the machine still doesn't work. They claim we tried too many times and it might take 24 hours to clear. Multiple text messages….

This treatment? Someone charged a scam charge to a nail salon seven states away and did some Netflix purchase on the card. They overnight us a card and it was working fine. IN THE PAST WHEN THIS HAPPENED ONCE THE NEW CARD CAME IT WORKED OK.

You were warned.

This is going to be the strategy they use to beat you into submission and quit using cash.

Once cash disappears they can control your finances. Chase already bans crypto.

In China they are suppose to have a currency coming soon that "expires" rendering you unable to save anything. It forces you to spend!

  1. Honestly, this feels more like an elder millennial thing than a conspiracy. I had the same epiphany at the grocery store after the clerk told me he didn’t have any pennies in his cash drawer; this confused me because by their own words anything greater than $0.03 cents is now a nickel so give me my nickel, dude.

  2. AnubissDarkling on

Can’t speak for that particular ATM or bank, but as someone who’s been a victim of serious financial fraud, two-factor authorisation and extra security when it comes to money/my bank is an absolute godsend

  3. So someone used your card to purchase things from states over? Obviously it’s inconvenient and sucks but I’d want them to verify who has the card at that point, unless you want to finance someone else’s life lol

It’s not like it does this every time. There’s some bigger fish to fry if you’re worried about that. Imagine the sheer amount of cameras that share/sell data with each other from different networks. Every relevant agency can deduce exactly who you are from just a couple pieces of info. What you drive, how you look, the way you walk, the places you frequent, your routine, is all known to giant companies and the us gov if they desire

  4. You’re butthurt about anti fraud systems being in place when, admittedly, the very same anti fraud system you’re shitting on is the only reason your card isn’t still being used on Netflix by Jimmy Longcock 7 states away.

    Excellent logic you knob.
