Bonds are getting very expensive (for a lot of govts) right as govt spending (at least in the US) skyrockets—along with the debt. Something has to give.

    Lol nothing would give. Bonds wont get a bid unless there is a change in investor expectations. Bonds are a hedge against deflationary shocks, but if you got a government ( state) that keeps proving to you that it will do everything and anything to cut off that deflationary tail. Why buy bonds ? Since 2020 – even the counter trend  rallies in bond prices are short lived as people know that Uncle Sam’s hands are tied………..

  2. Washington D.C., you listen to me, if you’re near the Federal Reserve right now, go into the Reserve right now, and put your hand in the vault for no reason. Their money is your money, as of right now.
