It’s interesting that Netflix wanted to buy Warner; however, they wouldn’t commit to a promise that they would keep the current TV model or prevent layoffs. Yet, a week after the Paramount purchase of Warner is complete, Netflix lays off 6% of their employees.
I just hope that Netflix refrains from pushing “the message” (watch *The Critical Drinker* if you want to understand what that means) in just about every new production or adaptation.

It’s an interesting move because Netflix is wildly profitable and has growing revenue.
For many companies, layoffs are a chance to clear out poor performers. Netflix has a lot of very very high earners. They also have a lot of far left content creators. If Netflix wants to continue to grow, they can’t keep pushing rubbish content.
