So where does all of that money end up?

Makes sense. Families are less likely to stay closely together these days, with young people more likely moving potentially far away, and with children being less likely to want their parents to move in when old and to take care of them in their old age. When that side of the equation shifts in that direction, youngs being less likely to take care of olds, then it also makes sense for things to shift in the other direction, olds being less likely to save up for the youngs and more likely to enjoy their own earnings while they can.
It’s just how society works now, people are more independent, and that’s ok.
We could perhaps go back to the way things used to be, if youngs become more willing to embrace the burden of taking care of their elders when they are sick and old, and if the olds at the same time become more willing to embrace the burden of not just living for themselves once their kids are grown ups but taking the additional burden of building up wealth to give to their kids. But people may just be less happy with this alternative. And with people living longer anyway, people will reach middle age and above before they start inheriting, at which point they should have their lives in order and not really need it anyway
It is interesting how things have changed and evolved with this stuff over the years though

WTF how ? The full economic cost of ozempic is only 1k/month and sure there are some expensive surgeries but it is not like you get them every year and i assume you usually can’t for health reasons take multiple super invasive surgeries in a row
