Hong Kong media tycoon and pro-democracy activist Jimmy Lai Chee-ying was convicted Monday for colluding with foreign forces under the National Security Law. China imposed the law on Hong Kong at the end of June 2020. Lai denied all charges. He faces the possibility of a life sentence.
