An article about China moving up the value chain and bringing its aggressive competition and low prices with it. Honestly speaking from an economic and not geopolitical lens, China is in effect subsidising the rest of the world to consume its products which is not a bad thing. The issue lies in the fact that it’s not exactly great for domestic manufacturing in the west to be outcompeted and moved to a country that could be at war with the west within the next decade. Still, it seems even China has some interest in tamping down on *neijuan* as they tried to curb price cutting in renewables last year.

We should take a page out of their book, and incentivize our companies to innovate at breakneck speed. Unfortunately they need to use the manufacturing expertise of China to come to market, but it really is our only chance.
